Identity and campaign for a coastal fragrance house.

The challenge

Sell a scent online, where nobody can smell it, using only colour, words and light.

A perfumer is launching three scents named after times of day at the coast. The brand has to carry the feeling of each scent through a screen.

What it needed

  • A system of three colourways, one per scent
  • Still life photography that suggests sea air and warm stone
  • Copy that describes a scent without listing notes

Creative direction

A slanted, airy italic wordmark that leans like a sail, monsoon blue with coral for dusk, and still lifes built from glass, water and stone.

The identity

Built for this concept by Brand House: wordmark, mark, colour and type, then applied to the pieces the brand would use first.
